BOPIS: Buy Online and Pick up In-Store: Has Anyone tried this yet?

We have a brick and mortar store and checked the box that allows customers to pick up in store. Though we don't see where customers have these options, and there isn't a lot of information in Seller Help. Has anyone used this before?

Hello @FigurineGiftStore

Christine here from Amazon Forums.

This is a great question, as local pickup can be a valuable service for both sellers and customers.

Amazon had been expanding its Local Selling program, which includes in-store pickup options. However, the rollout and availability of features can vary by region and seller type

And here is what you need to know:

  • First, ensure that your store is eligible for the Local Selling program. Not all sellers or locations may have access to this feature.
  • If you've checked the box to allow in-store pickup, you've taken the first step. However, there might be additional setup required in your Seller Central account.
  • The in-store pickup option typically appears during the checkout process for eligible items. Customers should see it as a delivery option if their shipping address is within the specified radius of your store.
  • Not all items may be eligible for in-store pickup. Make sure you've marked specific inventory as available for local pickup.
  • Double-check your Seller Central settings to ensure everything is properly configured for Local Selling.
  • Try placing a test order yourself (or have a friend do it) to see if the option appears during checkout.
  • Contact Amazon Seller Support directly. They should be able to provide you with the most up-to-date information and troubleshoot any issues
  • Check if there are any announcements or updates in your Seller Central dashboard about the Local Selling program.

Have a great day and happy holidays!
