📩 Subject: URGENT: UPC Codes Not Accepted for Variations – Listing Blocked

✉️ Message:

Dear Amazon Seller Support,

I urgently need assistance with my product listing. I have received GTIN exemption approval for the parent ASIN, but I’m unable to add product variations (such as different colors/sizes), as the system is rejecting the UPC codes I’m entering.

This is blocking my listing and affecting my launch timeline.

Details:

ASIN/SKU (if available): [Insert ASIN or SKU]

Product Category: Mobile Phone cases

Brand Name: Generic

GTIN Exemption: Approved for parent product

Issue: UPCs for variations not being accepted

I have valid UPCs from a reliable source and am happy to provide proof of purchase or any documentation required. If variation-level GTIN exemption is needed, please advise how I can apply or get support for this.

This is time-sensitive, and I’d appreciate a prompt resolution so I can proceed with my listing.

Thank you for your quick support.

Best regards,

Store Name: Sultan Souk

You can't list a variation of a parent item that does not have a UPC/EAN code.

Example: If you want to list variation t-shirt items for different sizes, then the original parent listing must have a UPC/EAN code first, then you add sizes under "variants" with all of their original UPC/EAN codes as well. Make sure you are the brand owner or have rights to sell that item, as the codes will be checked.

If your parent item is "generic" and doesn't belong to any brand, then just go to add the variants and don't fill in anything for the UPC/EAN codes - random codes will be generated when you save the item.

Don't try to sell any brand you don't have permission for, or you can end up with violations on your account, and that could have serious consequences.
