Used Amazon Buy Shipping for USPS - Item arrived damaged in transit. How do i get reimbursed?
As the title says, we shipped a package on time using Amazon Buy Shipping via USPS Ground Advantage which comes with $100 in insurance. Customer says item arrived damaged and provided pictures. How do I file a claim through Amazon since I bought the shipping through them? Customer has been fully refunded already. Thank you

That has always been gray area on Amazon selling. Amazon is not going to file a claim for you, and USPS wants the receipt showing you purchased the shipping.
Next time pay the $0.30 Cents and buy the U-Pic insurance. All that is necessary to file a claim is sending the buyer's statement saying the product was received damaged. They send a check to you in a week.

Buyers know how to scam sellers using the Amazon site and the Damaged claim is a common one. The buyer calls Customer Service and makes up a story about how bad the seller packed the item for shipment, and the seller will not do anything. Customer Service refunds with no return, and the buyer gets a free new product, at the Seller's expense.

Your appeal to any Safe-T Claim or A-Z Claim would be that the buyer did not follow Amazon's return policies prior to issuing a refund.

Remember, it is the seller's responsibility to make sure the product arrives in the same condition as sent. The seller is responsible for any damage. The seller just has to make sure it is really damaged. A photo of their old broken same product is not good enough.
If no refund has been made as of you, tell the buyer to return the item for inspection and any refund due. Remember, USPS usually returns a Damaged in Transit item back to the seller. If they do deliver it, they always place a DELIVERED DAMAGED sticker on the item. Make sure you tell the buyer to include that sticker, and if they threw it away, (as all of them seem to say), tell them to ask their letter carrier for another one as they surely will remember placing it on your package when delivered.

When selling on the Amazon site, it always helps if you know all the scams buyers like to play and how to prepare for them in advance of shipping to the buyer.
