How to add insurance to "Amazon buy shipping" label?

There doesn't seem to be anywhere to add insurance to a shipment within "buy shipping." Am I missing something? I input the declared value but there is no option to insure the shipment for the value. Can you add insurance?

Inputting a value buys insurance for that amount.

If you leave this field blank, you get the default $100 coverage. Putting anything over $100 will result in added cost to your shipping label.

Note that if you declare a value on a shipment, Amazon (at least the last time i dealt with this) will not clear out that field, and it will default to that on the next label you print, charging you extra unless you zero it out.

Why would you if its lost and the customer files an A to Z claim you should be covered.

We have had them not charge us for much larger claims than that.

Good to hear. Maybe policy has changed; I don't ship enough expensive items to keep track. Of course, Amazon often doesn't strictly follow their rules (my bonus was a book lost at FBA; they paid me over $100 more than the selling price! Of course, next one they lost they paid something like 50 cents....)
