Over 1,000 FBA pending orders not cancelled
Hello, about 45 days ago we made a huge mistake and created stacking promotions. This caused an issue where the majority of our inventory was cleared out of FBA. I take full responsibility on that issue and we have put measures in place to ensure it does not happen again.
We even oversold the stock we had in FBA and over 2,000 orders went into pending status. When I spoke to a Amazon rep they suggested that we don't replenish the FBA inventory and after 30 days the orders will cancel.
It has been over 40 days now and we still have over 1,000 pending orders that have not cancelled. I spoke to Amazon again this am and they said there is some sort of glitch and that it has been routed to the internal team for review.
10 days now with the internal team with no response.
Does anyone know a way to get these orders to cancel? I can't ship anything into FBA until those orders with the stacking promotions get cancelled.

There is no glitch. Amazon always says there is a glitch. They will stay there until inventory is replenished to fulfill orders (unless buyer cancels order). If you cancel all those orders, your metrics will be hit hard and may put you out of business.

What @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9 says about it NOT being a 'glitch' is correct.
Amazon uses 'glitch' as a way of kicking the can down the street and hoping the problem will magically go away (OR the person asking the question will forget about the problem).
I had one of MY orders sitting sitting for over six months when I found AMAZON selling below cost by a LOT. They were 'out of stock/backorder' for that long before they cancelled it as 'unavailable'.
I found that exceedingly amusing since I had just received new stock of the exact item direct from my supplier a few weeks before they cancelled. Not 'unavailable' -- they just decided to not restock it and lose about $100 on shipping it to me.............
It would seem that you have a choice of NOT restocking it for FBA for quite a long period or restocking it and taking a financial bath.
I have mixed emotions on the 'ethical' issue of selling it only FBM for the foreseeable future but that's for you to decide.

I also had the same problem as you, the seller support directly told me that it is not possible to cancel, can you tell me how you did it?
