Lost A-Z. Amazon tracking ID does not match actual FedEx tracking

I purchased Amazon shipping label with claims protection and shipped on time. Customer files A-Z as item not received. Seller funded and lost the appeal due to “The customer claimed they did not receive the order and we were unable to confirm shipment and/or delivery. If you have not shipped the order, we recommend you not ship it, as the customer has been refunded.”

Amazon tracking ID shows package has not been shipped but FedEx tracking shows package was shipped and in their possession on time. Why does Amazon tracking not match FedEx tracking? Is this the reason I lost the A-Z?

I'm not really sure what to make of that tracking. There is no FedEx acceptance scan, and the only tacking says, "In transit to local Post Office - Allow two to three additional days for delivery" which is odd because unless you sent to a PO Box, it shouldn't be going to a post office at all any more the way FedEx Ground Economy works these days. Did you turn the package over to FedEx or over to the USPS? If you turned it over to the USPS that is probably the problem as the USPS doesn't handle FedEx Ground Economy packages any more except for if they are addressed to a PO Box and then only to hold it for pickup by the customer.

Did you use the self service machine to scan it or did a person scan it when you dropped it off?

Hello @Seller_32ZMm9zfeBF6v. Thanks for sharing that info and screenshot.

Amazon Buy Shipping protections

Amazon Buy Shipping shipments qualify for A-to-Z claims protection against "Package didn’t arrive" claims when the following conditions are true:

  • The shipping label was purchased with Amazon Buy Shipping and was a "Claims Protected" shipping service.
  • The order was shipped on time, which will be considered at the moment of the carrier’s first scan, not when you confirm shipment.

If the carrier does not show that they received the shipment, it will not qualify for claims protection. If you share the Case/Order ID, I can review the details more closely.
