Changing ship to location for FBA
My warehouse is walking distance from an amazon fulfillment center and it is making me send to one an hour away. We plan on shipping products to fulfillment centers with our own fleet and not outsource a carrier. Want to know if my drivers deliver to the local one instead of the one an hour away, what would happen? Gives an option to edit ship to information, but not change the location.

Greetings @Seller_I5JP0cqoIlBvY,
I will be happy to answer your questions! The FC location assigned to your shipment is not an optional recommendation, it is a requirement given by Amazon. The location of the FC selected is made using a myriad of inputs including the amount of inventory you're sending, type of inventory you're sending, FC capacity, etc. I would advise against sending your inventory to any other FC apart from the one assigned to shipment as it could lead to shipment refusal. From Seller Central:
"Some common issues that may result in the refusal of inventory at the fulfillment center include shipments that are larger than expected, not labeled properly, violate policy, damaged, or sent to the wrong fulfillment center.
Each shipment sent into an Amazon fulfillment center requires an advanced dock appointment to be made by your carrier. Failing to create a dock appointment will result in your shipment being refused. For more information about requesting a dock appointment, see Carrier requirements for LTL and FTL deliveries.
Shipments may be rejected at the dock and returned to you at your expense."
Let me know if you have any additional thoughts or questions!
