I want to do Wholesale Business in USA market, where should I fill in LLC details?

We are 2 partners, I am based in Asia & my friend is based in USA. We have to setup our seller account which can be used for Amazon Wholesale in North America Market.
The challenge we are facing is that I have heard we can't do Amazon wholesale without having a registered LLC in USA. Although we have a registered LLC in USA (on my friends name) but since the seller account will be on my name, using my tax & bank details I haven't mentioned about LLC anywhere. Moreover, I was never asked to link LLC details. How important is it to link it with LLC? If very important, then how to do it?
Secondly, is it Amazons requirement to show LLC to operate seller account for wholesale or is it brand's requirement?
