Prime Day Strikes Again, Sales Dropped Right after the Announcement

When will amazon figure this out. Prime day does NOTHING to increase sales. It in effect decreases sales as all sales are combined into a 2 day period. The week before and after, the lost sales do not make up the difference. It's a completely wasted effort and needs to stop. What a pathetic idea, can't they do math? We have been tracking it and other than the 1st year, it's cannibalized sales in July every year.

Hi @Seller_AZPB6M9M65Mev,

This is definitely an interesting anecdote for Prime Day and one I don't feel like you see often. I hadn't entirely thought of the halo effect Prime Day may have on the rest of the month, specifically on the weeks leading up to it.

I'm curious, do you have a Prime Day strategy (e.g. coupons, deals, extra advertising) that you usually deploy? Or do you stick to regular selling tactics during the two days?

Also curious to see how other sellers feel about the topic. We encourage everyone to share their experiences, good or not so good.
