Bogus Buyer Account?
Very strange order -- I had an order come through which I fulfilled (FBM) - buyer and shipping info identical. Yesterday I got a message through my website from this customer that she received the order but that she did not place it. I asked her to check her Amazon account, and she said that there was no such order. So who, then, placed an order using her address info and paid for it and had it shipped to her? I told her it sounds like she might be the victim of some sort of identity theft. I'm wondering if this is some sort of scam that others might be familiar with. I don't know why someone else would use her information and pay for an order that was in fact shipped to her, unless they planned on intercepting the delivery.

Did you hear about the news report about a kid using alexa to buy a dollhouse? When the news said "alexa buy a dollhouse" in the spot peoples alexas started ordering dollhouses all over the city. Maybe something like that happened. While I know there are all kinds of scams on amazon i hope for the customers sake it was something benign like this versus someone stealing their identity.
