AMAZON SHIPPING LABEL (Amazon should claim the insurance on USPS), USPS carrier, damaged item during transit, denied due to not item to be inspected
Hello,
I just need a suggestion regarding that USPS carrier. We are selling a perishable goods, Amazon does not accept returm on those. I use the USPS carrier, Amazon keeps on refunding the buyer.
I think amazon should be the one claiming the insurance if the item is damaged during transit. If we claim the insurance we cannot do that as the USPS wants the item to be inspected.
is there any easy way as amazon seller to claim the insurance through USPS.

No, you're really out of luck with anything except for a lost package when it comes to their insurance due to them wanting to do an inspection and most buyers not willing to go to extra effort to help in this regard. I think the USPS just uses it as a way to get out of paying insurance claims.

Amazon is not the carrier, USPS is. Claims will need to be submitted to them.

Hello,
I had similar experiences with USPS. There were my steps:
1. Go to USPS Website and submit all documents and pictures to support your claims. Make sure that you have the evidence from the buyer that the item(s) was/were damaged during the transport.
2. If USPS asks you to go to nearest post office, go there and file the claim and bring the evidence if you have one.
3. If USPS denied your claim, plead on time and plead again if denied.
4. Last steps which usually work: Send your claim/grief to USPS Inspector General with all evidences that you have. You can do this online. This will usually bring the solution to the matter. If your evidences are strong and you have responded on time, you should win your case(s).
Thanks
