I have a U.S. business address, but I do not have an ITIN, EIN, or SSN

I successfully passed the INFORM Consumers Act a year ago.

I have a U.S. business address, but I do not have an ITIN, EIN, or SSN. A year ago, I provided my TIN without a translation (not in English). Now, I have received a notification stating that I need to submit it with a notarized English translation.

I already have the translated document. However, since I have a U.S. business address, the system only allows me to upload an ITIN, EIN, or SSN.

What should I do in my situation?

If I upload my country's TIN (Ukraine), will that be sufficient?

No. If you claim you are a U.S. business to Amazon you need to provide a U.S. tax ID. Anyone can rent an office or a business drop box, but that doesn't make you legally a business in the U.S.

Foreigners can start a U.S. company, though, and do it remotely. There are costs and other legal and tax requirements depending on which state you use. Search for "non resident LLC" to learn more. If you follow through, you will get a U.S. EIN or TIN and that will be what Amazon wants to see.

Dealing with giant, uncaring entities who don't care for your future requires tenacity, but sometimes small and even large victories can be won. Good luck.
