storefront LINK unavailable, but storefront NAME is available

I've run into an issue with my store name. While I've always used this particular name, I never really supplied the storefront link. I tried setting up the link today, but I keep receiving the promp "Store name unavailable" . Am I missing part of the syntax?
I've attached/included a snip of the relevant portion of the screen that I see. Please advise. Thank you.

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I would be happy to advise you on your Storefront Link. This is a link to an Amazon Store you would have created in the Amazon Advertising Console. A requirement for creating an Amazon Store is enrollment in Brand Registry.
For reference, here is the Seller University video that talks about this at approximately 00:47.
