Listings Deactivated Due To Potentially High Price

We have been selling out-of-print books for 50 years, but Amazon deactivates some of our listings due to what it considers a price that is too high. We know our market, and Amazon doesn't. We often check our prices against those on Add-All Books and Abe Books, etc., and they are in line with those listings. Amazon even does this when another seller has a much higher price; it won't even let me match his!

There's apparently no Amazon process for sellers to contest their seemingly senseless price restrictions. This is crazy; Amazon is cutting off its own nose to spite its face. If we sell at our price, Amazon will get more out of the sale than if we sold at their lower "suggested" price. Amazon, what can be done?

Amazon's price bot is very annoying, especially with regard to out-of-print books, where it may suddenly decide to enforce a "List Price" from 1970.

Sometimes, these restrictions will go away after a few weeks, sometimes not. The only way to list at an appropriate price in these cases is to list them in Collectible condition. You must specify in the notes why it is collectible; thankfully, Amazon has stated that OOP counts. The downside to this is that you will not get the BB, and it may not show up on all search engines.
