UPC code
hi ,
i went to GS-1 site in order to get UPC code , i do see they are asking about brand, so do i need to register brand name to amazon before i buy UPC, or it can be my LLC Name.,
also i do have product variation , so do i need to buy UPC for each product.
also is below information is correct ?
Seller SKU : need to create own name
Product ID : UPC number
Product ID Type : UPC

Thank you for your questions regarding UPCs and GS1. You do not need to register your Brand with Amazon in order to get a UPC code, as long as you provide accurate brand information to GS1 you should be able to get a UPC. If you are selling products with variations you will need to get a UPC for each unique product. Please note that the UPC will not be Validon Amazon if the information provided to Amazon is not identical to what you provide to GS1 so ensure your information is accurate and matches exactly.
Regarding your questions about SKUs, Product IDs, and Product ID Types that information is correct. SKUs represent your own internal tracking, so what you provide to represent each product is up to you. Please let me know if you have any other questions on this issue.
