Veteran US-based seller, now moving abroad but want to maintain US seller account
I am wondering if anyone has similar experience and would like to share. I have been selling in the US since 2009, almost entirely FBA. Late last year we decided to move to Asia (work, but also family reason). Nothing has changed for us (sourcing is mostly online/over the phone, existing US based prep centers, FBA). I do have a US address and US bank account. So theoretically I can continue doing this as long as I want.
However, I realized the complication while filing taxes this year, both state tax and sale tax, so contemplating switching the seller address to match the foreign address. Has anyone done this before? I do not want to do this until I fully understand how much of a freak out Amazon will have. The last time I had to do something administrative wise (switching US bank accounts because I hated the old one), it was not a pleasant process.
