i understand if a customer orders through prime and they dont receive their parcel on the promised day they are entitled to a refund without returning?

i have had many credits issued by amazon becasue of this.

however today i have not received a prime order but im told i ahve to wait 2 weeks to get my money back and return the item when it is recieved for a refund.

why d some custoemrs get this imemdiate reimbursement?
