Brand registry on trademark application.
Hey everyone,
I am looking into applying for a trademark for my brand, primary reason being Amazon brand registry. I am a foreign seller looking to sell in the US.
I am looking to file for a trademark through an outside attorney, as IP accelerator fee is quite hefty for me. I wanted to know if I will be able to apply for early brand registry using the registration number if I use an outside attorney.

You can use an outside attorney or you can use IP accelerator.
In either case, you can apply for brand registry early using the serial number, not the registration number.
You get the serial number in 3-5 business days. You get a registration number in 6-12 months.

Hello @Seller_KwIz2HFwkd0jt
My name is Sandy from the Community manager team here on forums.
You do not need to go through IP Accelerator to get registered in Brand Registry, however, if you are working with vetted law firms for Amazon it could be easier and faster to get approved.
However, you could get approved even if you use another attorney outside IP Accelerator.
Please note that if you decide to work through an intermediary, rather than directly with a U.S. licensed attorney to seek a U.S. trademark registration or enrollment into Brand Registry, your application may be subject to additional investigation by Amazon and the USPTO.
Before hiring an attorney or trademark service company, check whether they’re subject to an Order for Sanctions from the USPTO or listed on Potentially Misleading Solicitations.
Good luck!
