Third brand to get gated by 3ps in a month

Is this the new standard? Three brands were gated by third party sellers without the manufacturer's approval or even awareness. We've discussed with them all and it's not them doing that. Some times, chinese brands, and some others, they pretend to be the brand themselves.

Approval seems unlikely since they don't manufacture those items, and it's happening more often than not. How can we inform the brand of these infractions and how can we help remove those bad actors on Amazon?

I know this: Once they get the item gated under their brand, it's really hard to win those back without destroying the listing itself.

Greetings @Seller_pApwA0i53ujuP,

In general Amazon makes the decision to require approval to list a Brand based on specific concerns of quality and authenticity. If you have a specific example of the restriction you are concerned about I can review further however to my understanding and experience that only Amazon makes the determination that a product, brand or category requires approval. Sellers and even Brand Owners are not able to force that a product require approval. Please provide me some Seller Support Case examples and I'm happy to research to see what is happening in these instances. Thank you for your understanding.
