universal and others gated today but other sellers still selling.

its pretty sad so many people have been gated in universal movies and vinyls. But hey goodwill who sells used stuff that has been donated yet can still sell these products..if Amazon was worried about keeping their marketplace safe that's just a load of crap btw they would not let goodwill sell their goods. I don't understand how they get away with selling anything they want.

Yes the gating has started. I do wonder if Universal Music Group, Comcast, who owns NBC Universal, and Disney, who owns Marvel are aware of what is going on. This looks like a potential mess, since the creators of this action, obviously have not done their research. It's a shame. There will be millions of pieces of stranded inventory out there. This is definitely an Amazon action, since someone pointed out when they went to list a Universal product a "$Universal " word came up. Sounds like something was not endorsed by Universal if you have to put an" $" in front of that name. There is probably a glut of Marvel and Universal product in the warehouses. What better way to raise prices. Reduce the number of sellers.

Uttar Pradesh drop shippers are still up and "operating/scamming" with their listings. Anybooks Shop, Gmart, Creocity Store, Best-Buy-Shop, All-In-One-Mart, Allind Store. Yep. And Half Price Books, Goodwill, Decluttr are all free to keep listing and selling, despite getting all their inventory as free donations. Where's THEIR INVOICES?? How do they know they haven't been donated inauthentic product? How about good old Glenthebookscammer?

then all the above label groups have susidiaries/labels and they all under UMG like PolyGram merged with Verve in 1989, then PolyGram merged with Seagrams Universal in 1999 right before Seagrams went south, more than a mess.

yea, then you add in Warners and Sony, and that is close to 90% of all music sold. I see a lot of my music listings closed but Amazon didn't bother the drop shippers or that nut from France. Amazon, there is no "personal data" in what I said.

It's not just in music and video, but also across the board. Many video game publishers have been gated and now have the $ in front of the name as if it is a new brand for Amazon gating. Also, electronics brands we have been selling for years are all of a sudden gated yet there are certain sellers that are still able to sell somehow. Blows my mind, and Amazon bots do not even accept our legit invoices from major authorized distributors for any brand with a "$" in front of it.

That is the Amazon way, "Do as I say, not what I do". Where indeed are the commercial invoices for Goodwill, Half Price Books, Declutr, etc..

These donation centers have killed the Amazon used Marketplace and at least 25% of the stuff they sell is in deed inauthentic as it comes right off the street with no authentication process. They are also in trash condition for the most part and makes Amazon buyers go elsewhere because of the low quality. This is what killed the bay, an abundance of low quality and fake items overtaking the marketplace. Now it's Amazons turn. We need a new marketplace.

I had six items that did not say Universal anywhere. Three were Scholastic cassettes.

Seller Support told me to do the following:

Upon reviewing, we ask you to please go to "Inventory" and click "Manage all inventory." in the seller central, search by ASIN, click on 3 dots, you will " edit listings ", click on edit listings, you will see "Request approval " option, select that, click on request approval ( eg: https://sellercentral.amazon.com//hz/approvalrequest/restrictions/approve?asin=B000BYRBKM ) , and request a approval to sell the listings.

I sent this as a case to Amazon and got nothing!

Today there was a mass removal of 665 items from my inventory of what seems to be Universal items. Although some of the companies say $Universal, SUNUniversal, I'm not sure these are truly Universal Movies. I'm a USED book and media bookstore. I buy my stock from swap meets, garage sales, from people that come to my shop, from friends and sometimes from my own collection. I don't have any invoices, sales receipts, etc. These are all second hand items. Sometimes we find still in the shrink wrap books and media from people that are selling things from their dead parents things and again there are no invoices. How do I get to someone who can tell me how a little mom and pop shop, that we are, can absorb all this red tape! We've been selling on Amazon since 2006. We've had a licensed used bookstore in Fullerton, CA since 1982. We are a trusted used bookstore in Fullerton and all over California, United States, and overseas. But lately more is removed from our Amazon inventory than we can put on. We are old and we just want to sell the inventory we have and retire!
