I am paying for a sponsored podcast advertisement to run for 2 months. They gave me the promo code they use DRMEG but I can’t use that promo code when I try to create a promo code. Error message says it must be 8 characters. Called Amazon and they said they don’t do that but there must be a way.

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I may be able to help here. When you called Amazon, were you provided a case ID from your call so I can reference more specific information?
If not, it might be worth opening a case with Ads support or Seller Support depending on what you are trying to do. By that I mean, are you wanting to create a promo code via Seller Central and then provide that code to be distributed via the podcast? Or is this something more specific being created within the Ads console? If the former, I recommend opening a case with Seller Support, but if the latter, open a case with Ads Support.
