Confusion Regarding Amazon’s “No Invoice Uploaded” Feature – Mandatory or On-Demand?

I recently noticed the new "No Invoice Uploaded" feature on Amazon, and I’m a bit confused about its requirements. I tried reaching out to Amazon Seller Support, but unfortunately, they lack expertise in this area and only refer to generic documents without providing clear answers.
I have a couple of key questions:
Is it mandatory to upload an invoice for every order, or do we only need to upload an invoice when a customer specifically requests one?
If it is mandatory, what about sellers who are not VAT-registered? Can they upload an invoice without VAT details, or will that cause compliance issues?
If anyone has clarity on this, especially for the UAE marketplace, I’d really appreciate your insights. It’s frustrating that Amazon has rolled out this feature without proper communication, and their support team isn’t well-informed about new policies.
Looking forward to hearing from fellow sellers who might have more experience with this.

Hi All,
As informed by Amazon, yes we have to send invoices to all customers.
VAT registered sellers - Must send TAX invoice
Non-VAT sellers - Must send Commercial Invoice
To answer the question, why there is a TAB " 0 No invoice uploaded"
As per upcoming UAE e-invoicing law, any sale between B2B (Business to Business) require einvoices to be automatically used all over UAE.
The law as not yet been finalized and is expected this year maybe June-July which is why there are no concrete answers.
Amazon has added this TAB for invoicing feature to get ready early before the law comes into effect and they have applied it for all cases even for B2C (business to customer).
We have to wait for the UAE law to be finalized for more info. But as of now sellers either have to send TAX invoice/Commercial invoice.
More clarity will be available in the coming months, so no point in keep asking the same question again and again.
