You have one option in Amazon that works great. Go to your Shipped Orders page and click on Carrier pickup delay. You will be provided a form, just fill it up and enter your order ID. It surely helps.

as someone already stated - the moment you see that courier is late picking up your packages, You go to to orders - problem with picking up your package - fill the form.
