yes you need to register DED licence in the UAE the cost is just 1370 aed. it's fully accepted in amazon account. then you can continue the selling on amazon as FBA model or FBM model no issue. if anything else let me know.

Hello The_Mello,
This is Jimmy from amazon. I am here to assist you with your concern. I understand you are reaching out with your question about the commercial license requirements for your Amazon FBA seller account in the UAE. This is an important matter for your business, and I'm here to provide clarity.
Understanding the License Requirement
You're correct that starting December 2025, sellers with businesses located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are required to provide a valid commercial license to continue selling on Amazon. Let me clarify the acceptable options for you.
Acceptable License Types
If your business is located in the UAE, you can submit any of the following licenses issued by your local licensing authority:
• Mainland License - issued by your local mainland authority • Free Zone License - issued by a free zone authority • DED E-Trader License - specifically for Dubai-based sellers.
Since you mentioned you are an employee in the UAE, the DED E-Trader license is indeed an acceptable option for your situation. This license is specifically designed for individuals like yourself who want to conduct e-commerce activities.
How to Submit Your License
To upload your license in Seller Central:
- Navigate to Settings > Account Info
- Select Business Information > Identity Information
- Update your business type and upload your license documentation
- Submit for verification (typically takes 48-72 hours)
Additional Resources
For more information about obtaining a DED E-Trader license, you can visit: • Dubai Government Portal: https://u.ae/en/information-and-services/business/ecommerce/ded-trader-licence-from-dubai
Next Steps
Please proceed with obtaining your DED E-Trader license if you haven't already, and submit it through the Identity Information section in Seller Central. Make sure to complete this before your deadline to avoid any disruption to your selling account.
I hope this clarifies your concern about the license requirements. The community and I are here to support you through this process. Please feel free to share any updates or additional questions you may have.
Thank you @MUHA_GADGETS_ONLINE for helping our selling partner with his query and extending support.
