Removal Order Inventory Source

I recently created a removal order and Amazon sent me a different sellers inventory. Does Amazon need to return your specific inventory during a removal order or are they allowed to send someone else's inventory as long as its the same physical product? I packed my inventory a certain way (along with an additional security seal) to ensure they aren't tampered with/arrive closed, and the inventory I'm receiving back is a mix of units I sent in and ones I didn't. Additionally, if these units arrive back damaged, who is responsible?

If you co-mingle your inventory you could get back product that is not what you sent to Amazon. That's the beauty of co-mingling.

If you used an FNSKU label you should be getting back *your* product.

I would use a different term than @River_Retail used for commingling inventory.

Doing that you run the risk of some 'unethical' seller sending in counterfeit items that get sent out to your FBA buyers.

Guess who gets hit with the FAKE PRODUCT charge. Not the other guy!

So, did you at least get back authentic items and what condition were they in.

My opinion (and I do NOT do FBA) is that commingling is one step removed from account suicide.

BEAUTY? NIGHTMARE in waiting!

Hi @Seller_FPkrdO1J4NQZY, we've seen similar threads in the past but I think River Retail gives great outline and suggestions above about what can go sideways in such situations. I'll keep an eye on this thread as the conversation continues but I think other seasoned sellers will give the best replies here based on their experience(s).
