Can you drop off FBA packages at an Amazon warehouse/distribution center yourself if you live within 30 minutes from one (Close) without shipping your products?

Have thought about this a lot recently if you could drop off your packages for FBA at a local warehouse instead of creating a shipment. Another reason is I also ship heavier products, 225lbs, so saving on freight/shipping is another curiosity. If you guys know if this exists feel free to comment or have any ideas! Thanks!

I have heard of a couple sellers doing this, it only really gets cost effective once you're doing above 8 or 9 figures as a seller.

You'll have to incorporate your own shipping company, become fully bonded and insured, get a municipal business licence for your shipping company, get your drivers license upgraded to commercial, have your delivery vehicle pass an annual commercial vehicle safety inspection, and then gain the ability to book Amazon delivery appointments. I may be also missing a few more steps along the way.

There is no guarantee that Amazon will give you a preferable arrival time, the appointment could be in the middle of the night, and the warehouse assigned could be on the other side of the country.

They aren't going to even let you in the yard past the security gate.

Hi @Seller_KTUHr1dXchyI5,

Dominic from Amazon here, would like to provide additional information. This is not allowed, you have to follow the process via the Send to Amazon workflow. The system will then provide you with an address and you will send your product to that FC provided.

Best,

Dominic
