My Amazon account was deactivated after I listed a product, and I spent a long time trying to get it reactivated. Amazon kept requesting supplier invoices, and I was close to giving up on my account. That changed when I met a specialist who successfully completed the reactivation process for me. If you’re in a similar situation,

Hello Zuhroo,

This is Jimmy from amazon. I am here to assist you with your concern. I understand how frustrating it must be to have both your account and your brother's account deactivated, especially when you've been working on this since November 2024.

Understanding Related Accounts Enforcement

Amazon's policy allows sellers to maintain only one account per region unless there's a legitimate business need for multiple accounts and all accounts are in good standing. When one account is enforced for a policy violation, related accounts may also be deactivated to prevent further policy violations.

From what you've described, it appears both accounts are connected, and Amazon has identified this relationship. The key to resolving this is addressing the primary account that was originally enforced.

Next Steps to Reactivate Your Account

To move forward, you'll need to take the following actions:

  1. Identify the Primary Account: Determine which account was deactivated first and for what reason. This is the account that needs to be addressed first.
  2. Submit an Appeal for the Primary Account:
  • Log into the account that was originally enforced
  • Review the performance notification to understand the specific violation
  • Submit the required information requested.
  • Provide any supporting documents to strengthen your appeal.
  1. Address the Canadian Marketplace Account:
  • If you're having trouble accessing your Canadian account, try using the marketplace switcher in Seller Central
  • If the account was closed but is still showing as related, you may need to provide documentation explaining this in your appeal
  1. Provide Documentation for Your Appeal: Since the accounts belong to you and your brother, you'll need to provide documentation showing:
  • Proof that these are separate business entities (if applicable)
  • Business registration documents for each account
  • Explanation of the relationship between the accounts
  • Any relevant agreements or documentation showing separate ownership

Important Reminders

  • Both accounts must be addressed - resolving one account will help with the other
  • Do not attempt to close accounts while they're enforced, as this can delay resolution
  • Ensure all documentation is clear, unaltered, and matches your business information
  • Be patient with the review process - it typically takes 2-3 business days

Moving Forward

I recommend starting by reviewing the most recent performance notification on the account that was deactivated first. This will give you clear guidance on what Amazon needs to see in your appeal. Once that account is reinstated, you can then appeal the related accounts enforcement on your other account.

The forums community and I are here to support you. Please share your performance notification or any specific questions about the appeal requirements, and we'll be happy to provide more detailed guidance.

Thank you @ Amazevision, LT_Sports_Nutrition for pitching in to support our selling partner.

Best of luck with your appeal!

Jimmy
