Before listing products with Fulfillment by Amazon, it’s important to know what’s suitable for fulfillment and what isn’t. Be sure to review the Help pages below for additional product requirements and restrictions:
FBA accepts products that are subject to melting between October 1 and May 15 of each calendar year. Any meltable inventory in our fulfillment centers after May 15 is marked as unfulfillable and disposed of. Meltable inventory that arrives at fulfillment centers between May 15 and September 30 is marked as unfulfillable and disposed of.
“Meltable” refers to heat-sensitive products that are eaten or swallowed, including chocolate, gummies, and probiotics. Chocolates, gummies, and probiotics will not be fulfilled through FBA from May 15 through September 30.
Products in fulfillment centers must be able to withstand a minimum temperature of 10 degrees Celcius and a maximum temperature of 37.7 degrees Celcius during the product’s shelf life without hurting its quality.
Box markings must not show storage temperature requirements unless those requirements are explicitly stated as from 10 to 37.7 degrees Celcius.
Products requiring refrigeration, air conditioning, or freezing are prohibited all year long. Perishable products, including but not limited to, fresh meats, fruits, or vegetables are also prohibited throughout the year.
Removal orders for meltable inventory must be submitted before May 15 of each calendar year. For more information, see Remove inventory from a fulfillment center.
