Amazon limits the addition of new sellers in certain categories to ensure a high level of quality so that customers are able to buy with confidence from all sellers on Amazon. While our site-wide selling guidelines still apply, please note the additional requirements for this category.

Seller requirements

  • You must have an inventory of more than one product in this category.
  • You must have a return delivery address in the local country or provide free international return delivery.
  • You must be able to provide local language support for customer service in the marketplace in which the sale is intended.
  • Your own company website is not required, but it is helpful to us for review during the application process.
  • You must provide acceptable documentation (for example, valid invoices) and other information that we request about the products that you intend to sell.

Product requirements

  • The products that you sell must be new.
  • All products must be intended for sale in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and comply with all laws and regulations of the Gulf Countries Council (GCC) or of the local country.
  • For each product, a valid barcode (product identifier) that is registered and associated with the product is required.
  • All food products offered for sale on an Amazon website must (as a minimum) be labelled in the language of that website.
  • All food products offered for sale on an Amazon website must be intended for sale in the UAE and comply with all applicable GCC and local laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, food information and labelling regulations (such as the Gulf Standards Organization (GSO) standard number 9).
Note: If the manufacturer of your product does not issue product identifiers (EAN, UPC or JAN), you can contact Seller Support to request an exemption or, if you are the brand owner, apply for the Amazon Brand Registry to obtain GCIDs unique to your products
